According to the Occupational Outlook Handbook, employment of drafters is expected to grow by 4 percent between 2008 and 2018. Some of the career options for CAD degree holders are Aeronautical Designer, Architectural Drafter, Architectural Designer, Construction Detailer, AutoCAD Technician, and CAD Operator.
An online CAD degree teaches a student the fundamentals of drafting as well as practical hands-on skills in the use of CAD software. Some of the courses may include the following:
