Assumption College (Reviews)
Assumption College was founded in 1904 and is located in Worcester, Massachusetts. It was originally located in Greendale, Massachusetts until a tornado destroyed the original campus in 1953. It is designated as a college rooted in Catholic tradition, and was created by the Augustinians of Assumption, a religious group rooted in France.
Assumption College offers Undergraduate Degrees in Accounting, Art, Cultural Affairs, English, Human Service, Political Science, Computer Science, Molecular Biology, Women’s Studies, Writing and many more. The Catholic intellectual tradition is used to look at Western Civilization and its relationship between faith and reason while embracing all religious viewpoints. Assumption College also offers Graduate programs in Business and Psychology. It is not uncommon for Assumption students to study abroad. To date, students have visited 16 countries including, London, France and Ireland, Japan and Australia.
Assumption College provides online classes for students who have difficulty participating in a traditional classroom setting. Blended courses, a combination of online and classroom setting classes are also available. Instructors for the online courses offered at Assumption College are the same instructors that are present in the classroom. Assumption College uses the Blackboard interface to communicate with instructors, chat with classmates, submit assignments and complete group projects.
