Bellevue University (Reviews)
Bellevue University was founded in 1966 in Bellevue, Nebraska (a suburb of Omaha). Originally intended for local students in the rapidly growing suburb, it has expanded well beyond the city boundaries. Nearly 40 majors are offered, nearly all of which can be earned by attending classes entirely online.
There is also an accelerated degree completion program, where students who have an associate’s degree or about 60 credit hours can complete their degree in 12 months. Some major utilize the cohort model, where students start a major together and progress through the program as a group. Credit is also given for military experience or training, CLEP testing, or life experience through the Experiential Living Assessment. Bellevue University also offers 15 Master’s degrees, all of which can be earned online.
There is one PhD program, the doctorate in Human Capital Management (also available online). Programs start on an ongoing basis, so there are many program start dates throughout the year. The university is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools and the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education. Financial aid is available, and student (both online and in class) are assigned to a personal Student Financial Aid Counselor who will personally assist them.
