Indiana State University was founded in 1865. The medium-sized university has a student population of about 10,000. This population includes students from the USA and 59 other countries. It’s accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association.
Indiana State University has offered distance, or online, learning since 1969. Utilizing the latest technology, traditional on-campus courses are converted to online courses. Video, audio, and/or live Internet-based conferencing are used. They currently offer over 30 degrees and professional development programs to online students. Though many of programs can be completed entirely online, some do require minimal on-campus attendance.

Indiana State University provides a complete package of student services. They include technical assistance for on-line courses, credit transfer assistance, financial aid programs, an online bookstore, and library services. The university also offers the Sycamore Payment Plan. This allows eligible students to pay for semester-based courses in affordable monthly payments.
