Marygrove College (Reviews)

Marygrove College is an open minded, future oriented Catholic liberal arts college. The goal of the college is to teach its students to become committed, passionate, productive leaders. This starts with a liberal arts program that is focused on providing preparation for the business world. And understanding or real world skills is combined with an understanding of how to think critically, communicate effectively with others, and make ethical decisions, helping students to become intelligent and well rounded enough to make it in today’s economy.

Marygrove College is kept small intentionally. Leadership skills are held in high regard, and students are encouraged to participate in student government, tutoring, mentoring, committee work, community service, and performing arts. The class sizes help teachers cater to individual student’s needs effectively. Teachers are kept available to students outside of the classroom for one on one interaction, and teachers often cooperate with one another so that students understand how one field can relate to another.

Diversity is considered important to Marygrove College, and an intentional effort is made to keep it that way. In addition, the college’s culture is driven by its Christian values, which are inherited from the college’s founders, which were the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. The staff of the college feels that this helps to promote a fair and compassionate learning environment.
