Northcentral University was founded by Dr. Donald Hecht. Personal experience while earning Master’s and Doctoral degrees convinced him a better way to receive a higher education was needed. In 1996, Dr. Hecht met with the State Board and the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools with plans to establish a 100% online institution. Northcentral University is the result.

The university offers eight Bachelor’s degree programs, 31 Master’s specializations, and 64 Doctoral specializations. These programs are in Business and Technology Management, Education, and Health and Behavioral Sciences. Every degree program offers flexibility and individual support is provided. The university takes a personal approach making it ideally suited to help students succeed in their education and career.

With all classes and programs being 100% online, the opportunities for higher education are offered to more people than ever. Northcentral University provided the model which has become the American Standard in online education. The university is the first online institution to offer Doctoral degrees. It holds the distinction of being one of eight schools worldwide accredited by the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs.
